The Bastion’s 500 defence per level counts in every battle on your planet, even when no troops are home. It adds to your troops’ defence, and your species doesn’t change it.
Cost and build time
Level n costs 1,000 × n² dust and takes 2.5 × n² minutes to build. That’s the cost divided by 400 dust a minute. You pay the full cost when you place the order, from your balance. RHEA collects your tank first, so the dust waiting there counts.
Build times are approximate. Taking the Dust Reactor from level 1 to 20 costs 2,869,000 dust in all. Taking the Bastion from 0 to 20 costs 2,870,000.
One build at a time
Only one upgrade runs at a time, across both buildings. While the Reactor is building, the Bastion can’t start, and the other way round.- With premium, the auto queue lines up your next build and starts it once the current one is done. See Orders.
- You can’t start an upgrade while your planet is in debt.
- The new level applies the moment the timer ends, even with the app closed. You get an Upgrade done alert.
Finish now with a fast-track token
A Fast-track token finishes the running upgrade at once. You win them from Supply Drops: 2.5% of drops are a token. Tap Finish now · 1 fast-track on the Planet deck or the Supply Drop screen. It spends one token, and the level applies at once. Your wallet doesn’t sign anything. A token is never wasted. It can’t be spent when nothing is building, or on a build that’s already done. The app withdraws the offer in the last 15 seconds of a build.What to build first
- Dust Reactor. More dust pays for everything else, and early levels pay back fast. On a Common Ferox, Vex or Bastion world, level 2 costs 4,000 dust and adds 50 dust a minute, so it earns its cost back in 80 minutes of pack time. Level 5 also lets you found a coalition.
- Bastion. Its first levels are the cheapest defence in the game. Level 1 gives 500 defence for 1,000 dust, with no upkeep. Seven defenders give about the same, for 2,100 dust plus 140 dust an hour.
