Dust is PANDOR’s in-game currency. You spend it on upgrades and troops. Your troops eat it as upkeep. Raiders come to take it. Every planet starts with 25,000.

Dust is made while a pack runs

Your planet makes dust over time only while a pack is running.
  • The free simulation pack. Under Mine, tap Start simulation pack. It’s free, your wallet signs nothing, and it runs for 7 days. When it ends, tap Restart simulation pack. Nothing restarts it for you.
  • A real mining pack. Paid packs pay the same dust rate while they run, on top of what they mine. You never earn two rates at once. See Mining.
While a pack runs, your planet makes:
50 × production level × species bonus × rarity bonus, in dust per minute, rounded down
Terra’s species bonus is ×1.25. Every other species is ×1. Rarity is ×1 for Common, ×1.05 for Rare and ×1.10 for Legendary. Dust per hour, while a pack runs: The first three columns are Ferox, Vex and Bastion worlds. To raise your level, see Upgrades.
With no pack running, your planet makes no dust, but upkeep keeps running. A planet with troops and no pack slides into debt.

In the tank and your balance

Your dust sits in two places. Pack dust reaches your tank about once an hour, and right away before you spend or burn dust. The tank holds about 3 billion dust, so in practice it never fills. The Dust figure at the top of the app is everything together: your balance, your tank, and pack dust that hasn’t reached the tank yet. Beside it, Production shows your dust per hour, with your net after upkeep underneath. Upkeep shows what your troops eat per hour.

Collecting

Collecting moves dust from your tank into your balance. It’s free, and your wallet never signs. It happens in two ways:
  • Collect. Open Settings, then the Dust screen (“Your tank, and collecting it.”), and tap Collect.
  • Automatically, when you spend. Every order that spends dust (training, upgrades, clearing a debt) collects your tank first.
There’s no timer. Dust stays in the tank until you spend or collect. Collect often: raids take from the tank first, and anyone can see what’s in it.

What dust pays for

Premium, mining packs and Supply Drops are paid from your wallet in USDC or SKR, never in dust.

Where dust comes from

  • Your 25,000 starting dust.
  • Your pack, while it runs.
  • Real mining: the pORE your paid packs earn also brings dust. See Mining.
  • Loot from attacks you win, added when your survivors land.
  • Supply Drops: prizes of 500, 5,000 or 50,000 dust, paid straight into your balance.

Upkeep

Every troop eats dust every hour: 10 for a raider, 30 for a heavy, 20 for a defender. It comes out of your balance a little at a time, all day.
  • It starts the moment you pay for troops, not when they finish training.
  • It keeps running while troops are away attacking.
  • It stops when troops die in battle.
Ten defenders cost 200 dust an hour. Check the Upkeep figure before you train a big batch. More on Fleet.

Debt

Upkeep can push your balance below zero, and so can a raid that goes unanswered (see Loot). Nothing dies when that happens. But once your balance and tank together are below zero, your planet can be flagged as in debt, shown as Owed. While it’s flagged:
  • you can’t upgrade, train, attack, reinforce, or burn dust from your balance;
  • your planet defends at half strength;
  • Supply Drop troops arrive as their price in dust instead.
To clear it, get back above zero: keep your pack running, and loot and Supply Drop dust count too. RHEA clears the flag on her own once your balance is back above zero, or you can tap Clear it on the Planet deck. The pill then reads Stable.
